Last year in July, customer A was given exclusivity for a new range of products to be sold exclusively in France, by "Captain Fantastic”*.
In August, customer B was given the same Exclusivity, also by the same "Captain Fantastic".
In October, during a Trade Show, Customers C and D were also getting the same exclusivity by "Captain Fantastic".
Now, we are in March, and they all have specials on the French market with the same products (ok the colors are different..) and no margins.
I guess these customers will be looking for new suppliers (and probably exclusivity too).
But "Captain Fantastic" is nowhere to be found, no replies to e-mail... out of town, overseas, not in the office. He has been busy lately (no handicap at golf).
From experience, the time will fix the problem, next year everybody will smile at each other again...and get more exclusivity.
